I hear there’s going to be some big event outside in Seattle on Wednesday (hmm) Party
If you’re thinking of joining, oh, about 500,000 or more of your fellow Seahawks fans outside on the streets of Seattle in celebration of the big Super Bowl 60 victory, Mother Nature is giving us an assist, because we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
There will be a few lingering showers Tuesday morning but we’ll dry out by midday, setting the stage for gorgeous conditions to grace the championship parade Wednesday morning.
There may be some areas of fog early in the day so keep that in mind if you’re heading out early to get a good spot, and bring a coat for the foggy parts. But the sun will eventually break through with temps in the mid-upper 40s for the late morning into early afternoon hours.
(Ironically, the stormy weather will be in central California and the San Francisco Bay Area — Super Bowl just dodged a rather rainy event!)
As the Fahrenheit scale goes, it’ll probably be literally (if not scientifically) twice as warm as the last time we all gathered for a Seahawks parade in February of 2014. The sun was out that day too, but we were in the throes of an arctic air mass and temps were in the 20s with wind chills in the teens.
Of course, this year, Arctic air masses are allergic to the West Coast. But we’ll take the sunny day for this day. The only “Dark Side” in Seattle will be on the bus carrying the Seahawks’ defense.
The dry weather holds into Thursday before a cooler, more unsettled pattern moves in for Friday and the weekend. This so far is not looking like much more than typical Seattle gray with some light rain at times though cool enough for some mountain snow at least.
There is still some signals in the long range patterns of cooler, wetter weather toward the end of next week but we’ll see if it holds. Skiers won’t even penalize it 10 yards if it does…
HAPPY SUPER BOWL PARADE, SEATTLE!
Great to hear that the weather is set to be good for the Seahawks Victory Parade. A perfect way to cap off a historic season.
