What an amazing video that if you could hit for the photography cycle, this just might have accomplished the feat!
Amanda Thornton-DeWitt Photography set out to capture the Northern Lights last weekend in Eastern Washington and got oh so much more!
Not only are the Northern Lights in the video, but look out also for: lightning, a meteor, stars, towering thunderclouds, and if you’re wondering what the orange glow is on the side, that’s from a nearby wildfire that had just been sparked.
“I took this in Coulee City as the lightning struck the ridge above Lake Lenore and started a wildfire,” she told me.
But her favorite part was the end.
“A thunderhead full of lightning comes straight toward my camera!”
Go give her a follow! I’ve been a fan of Amanda’s work back from my KOMO Legion of Zoom days and she has been gracious to share her photos and videos with my weather blogs over the years.
